Caesura Retreat

Individual personal retreat. Our goal is to provide a safe space for rest and recovery for women who feel depleted and disconnected from themselves, their own stories, and from God. The apartment at Caesura Retreat is a quiet haven designed as a place for women who serve others to rest and recover. Caesura offers two to four nights in a pleasant basement apartment. The apartment contains a bedroom with queen bed, a full bath, a living room, and a partial kitchen. Hello, my name is Doraine, and I am the host at Caesura Retreat. I offer non-intrusive availability during your stay. I’m happy to have coffee or tea and chat. I am available for a 30-minute guided prayer and rest session. I do not offer counseling or debriefing. I will provide a list of local restaurants, places to hike, and nearby churches. I also have access to a spiritual director if you want to schedule an appointment before your stay. I was married for 46 years to a dear man who was “full of grace and truth.” He served as a pastor for about 25 years and as a counselor for about 30 years. My background as a pastor/counselor’s wife gives me insight into the needs of women who serve in leadership roles or are a partner of someone in that role. Rest is high on that list of needs. My heart is that your stay at Caesura will give you precious time to be still, to listen to what God may be saying to you, and renew your heart and your spirit. It is only possible to give from a vessel that is filled. It is my hope that you will leave Caesura Retreat refilled and prepared to return home with renewed hope and peace.
